Wow, it's been a while, but here's a new update.... CORNERSTONE!!! AHHH sooo much fun!! So we camped on the side of this hill, craziness cause our sleeping bags slid in the night until we were crumpled against the bottom of the tent and had to scoot ourselves back up. Other than that it was good cause we got the corner and managed to monopolize a ton of space for all our tents and tarps and stuff! The Old Maids arrived first and secured the area. We were just chillen on the back of the Tempo laughing about how funny it would be if Brad and Parker camped infront of us... that wasn't our ONLY convo topic, but we did mention it. Then this Jeep pulled up and we were like what if it's them? We looked when they got closer and it seriously was them!! haha Seriously weird coincidence! Then we went and passed out flyers for Need To Breathe and Last Tuesday and people thought we were crazy. Jess and BK finally arrived and we set up camp. Then we hit up the CafeJam stage for some Need to Breathe action. After the shows we all chilled at camp and talked for a long time which was fun... we told some "ghost stories" like the ones from 4th grade, but got too scared and had to stop.
Friday we awoke bright and early to some 7 am disc golf action. Oh yes, we were camped right next to hole #1 and any time someone hit that stupid goal it sounded like breaking glass. And they talked loud. We wanted to sleep. Seriously, who playes disc golf at SEVEN AM ?!?! Ok, it was probably more like 9 but STILL. So we got up and breakfasted and such.... there was some walking around to be done and some scoping of the merchandise. Laura and Jenna located their buddy Steven who did actually turn out to be a pretty cool and funny dude. Once the shows started at noon we were pretty much busy with the seeing of them for the rest of the day! Fun fun stuff! Last Tuesday came for dinner at our camp and Steve was talking a lot which was extremely funny cause he is lazier than ME! I knew there had to be someone out there who could beat my level! I got some free fanning action from Chris and the Squeeze Breeze was a big hit. Carl wore short shorts and said goodbye to Laura by addressing her as "My Love" haha! After the shows that night the Old Maids chilled in the tentish area and somehow lured these 2 guys over by yelling "fudge brownies" at them... they thought we actually had brownies for them to eat, but it was actually just a clever scam! ha! We talked to them for a bit, and realized we had seen them at the Sanctus Real show back a couple months ago. I got in some high quality SR ranting which made me happy! They left, we talked, then hit the sack and it was actually cool enough out to get IN the sleeping bags which was strange considering it had been BURNING UP outside all day.... I guess that insane rainstorm that wet our camp drop the temp for us which was nice.
The next morning we once again awoke to the beautiful sounds of disc golf, but because it was cooler we dozed until like 11, then discovered it was that late and sprung from bed to prepare for some Number One Gun action at noon. We got ready and scurried off to some shows. We met Jake Ryan. At some point later in the day, like "Dinner Break" or something, we were back at camp and discovered it was seriously fun to cheer for the disc golfers. So we cheered and yelled at them with a few random sports terms... "foul" "touchdown" "basket" "mulligan" ya know, all those sportsy words. It was amusing but some of them had some very bad aim, especially red-hat. Then this group of guys camped nearby decided to join our fun of yelling at the golfers and eventually I guess they weren't getting enough attention from us with that tactic, so they came to swing on the vine near our camp that Brad and Parker had so nicely cut and prepared for everyone's enjoyment. About this time some disc golfer got frisky and hit THE TEMPO!!!!! Oh yes, C-stone battle scar for The Temptress. There actually was a dent but of course I didn't care. All the vine guys came to see and one of them decided to make a massive scene out of this by picking up the frisbee, yelling "who's is this?!" then slamming it on the ground! We were all laughing hysterically as the golfers all panicked cause they thought we were mad at them. It was mean but funny. So after all this, we went to some more shows. Then we had to leave, but something is very much wrong with my feet and I could barely walk. We packed up the last bit of camp and loaded up. Thankfully, the Tempo beasted the grassy hill we were parked on and successfully conquered its off-roading adventure. 45 minutes later we were home. The End.
Here is the full report on each band that I saw...Check it, Check it out.
FRIDAY:
Sleepover at Erin's house!! woohoo! It was great to get so see my friends again! AWW!!!
SATURDAY:
Well, I went to see "Starsky and Hutch" with Mom and Alicia and then after that met up with Jenna and Julie at the dollar store in K-Vegas... we bought a present for Dustin... FLOWER BULBS!! haha Their tagline was "these will grow like your love for us!" haha So then that evening we went to Hanes mall to go shopping and we decided to go to O'Charleys to eat afterwards. We sat down and were immediately struck with fear that we would get this very boring looking lady as our waitress, but oh, contraire. We get this bouncy little guy named Russ that comes all up to us all cheery like "Hey Ladies!!" we were much relieved!! :) We made him bring us like 5 baskets of bread as we always do to ocharleys waiters along with many assorted questions. Russ was more chatty than the former Brian. He told us pretty much his life story of how he moved from washington to here and things. Then Jenna spotted this guy at the bar. He has like some glasses and strawberry blonde receeding hairline hair and then tryin to be all thug with his jersey reading on the front "Harlem" and on the back (this is great) "MEADOWLARK".... So Jenna points him out and says "Hey!! Check out that dork-pimp!!" haha! So me and Jenna were sitting so we could see him but Julie had her back to him so she took Jenna's super stealthy secret spy glasses that have mirrors in them so she could see. Russ the waiter kept coming by like every 3 mins and he came by while Julie had the hiddeously big square glasses on inquiring "is it too bright in here for ya ladies??" Julie tried to take em off real quick to avoid looking stupid but she failed haha. At any rate, we had lots of fun with Russ the waiter. At the end, we just had to leave some kinda crazy tip for him (i think it ended up being a 68% one haha) but we wrote on this sugar packet labeled "Sweet Thing" we put "Russ is our ~>" (pointing at sweet thing) and I put Jenna's cell phone number on the back. Sadly when Jenna and I went to the nasty bathroom with the smoker girls and lost credit card, Julie snuck my # on there too in pen so I couldnt erase it haha. We gave bouncy little Russ our check and money (with the sweet thing carefully enclosed in the money) and left. Julie was gonna run back in and give the dorkpimp "our" number which was really our ~extremely social~ friend Dustin's number but then he became out of reach. Then we scurried off back to my house and Laura called Dustin to tell him to come to church tomorrow to get his present. We took her the 6 rolls that Russ illegally gave us from O'Charleys. .[i stole this ^ off Jenna and editted it to make it sound like i wrote it, so you can all send her love letters of thanks]
SUNDAY:
Well I went to church, we gave Dustin his present, and Granny cooked lunch. Then the REAL fun started.... that's right, the looooong anticipated SANCTUS REAL CONCERT!!! There's pics in there too. Wow it was awesome!
TUESDAY:
So we went to see Cody's play at Ragsdale. It was pretty funny and we had a great time walking around their school looking at their crazy wall decorations. They had this crayon box that said "Some friends are..." "...pretty", "...dull", "...cerulean"!! haha We also scoped out Cody's 'secret girlfriends' and then stood in the parking lot and talked for a while after. Then Laura and I went home and she went to bed. So at 2 am I am getting ready for bed, and my phone rings... I thought it was like Aaron or someone, but it was... dun dun duh... RUSS THE WAITER!!!! hahah So he talked to me for like 12 minutes about stuff and was like "so what are you guys doing tomorrow" haha So we decided that we were all gonna hang out the next day. haha
WEDNESDAY:
So I ate lunch with Jessie at work. That was fun... then I rode to church with Mom since the Tempo was in the shop getting MORE brake work done... OUTRAGEOUS! Anyway we ended up meeting Russ at the mall and then going to eat with him. We're so weird. We stayed in the mall for awhile cuz he had a AF gift card for selling some steaks or something at "o'chucks" as he calls it. I bought another sweater at AF cuz I'm just THAT cool! haha Russ was talking about how gay the 'collar flip' looks while the AF worker guy was standing right behind him with his collar up!! haha We were gonna go to chili's but then we ended up at applebees where we told Russ how he gets to be on the harassing end of things instead of the victimized waiter end which he was excited about. He was quite the chatty one so we didn't have to think up convo topics. Lots of them were repeated though because as we discovered he was drunk when he initially called (we dunno how we feel about that...having to be drunk to call us...hmm) but anyways he was lots of fun. Then Jenna asked him if he was a rapist and he gave me this look like 'what is wrong with you girl?!' He said he wasn't a rapist and that we werent allowed to talk about it cuz we were in public or something and that he was gonna direct his convo at me and Julie's side of the table. He decided that Jenna was "the smartass of the group" and said that he was "beginning to hate her more and more" with all of my commentary...haha oh well hes jk. ( i think) haha he told Jenna to get the waiter and so she said "HEY!! TRAVIS!! OVER HERE!!" and Russ got all frazzled he was like "not like that!!" but hey it worked....travis came over to us and asked her "yes m'am?" and she said "He wants you!!" and pointed at Russ....haha if looks could kill then she would be dead man!! He didn't appreciate that much haha after the waiter left he was like "boy is my face red!!" haha idk what the big deal is...neway he left in his "Stone Cold" which is what he named his white truck (idk why people name their cars, it's weird) which he drove like a maniac like to the max. He's most def marked off our list of people to ride with! So that was our crazy adventure with Russ... wow we are weird..[i stole this ^ off Jenna too]
SATURDAY:
Jess and I went with Aunt Sherri and our moms to Burlington to the wedding dress superstore which was cool. WOW wedding dress shopping!! We are crazy. So then we came back and I stole Jessie's "The Beautiful Letdown" cd which is amazing!! I went home and changed then met her and BK and Seth and Dayna at CafeJam to see Last Tuesday!!! There were a ton of people there to see Source of Prosperity, who were good. Then Last Tuesday played and they were awesome!! They are soooo funny on stage!! Then Under the Bus played, and did an AWESOME Taking Back Sunday cover! At some point I decided to tattoo everyone with nice little sayings. Seth got "Save the Butterflys" BK: "I need to pee!" Jess: "Polka music rocks!" Dayna: "I love Wes Murphy" poor dayna. So BK wrote on mine to retailate and it said "Tyson Ritter 666" OUTRAGEOUS!!! I turned the 6's into hearts tho. After the show we hung out and talked to everyone and got to go in the "Artists Only" back room!!ooOOooh! So we all went to Steak&Shake with Last Tuesday and I picked up Julie so she could come too. We sat across from Carl from LT and he was cracking us up sooo much! We asked him to prom for Laura! haha Eventually we did go home and stuff.
SUNDAY:
So church was groove and Granny cooked again. Then we went to Seth's house to hang out with everyone and with the Last Tuesday guys cuz they were staying there. We made Chris and Carl play DDR which was HILARIOUS to watch!! Then we [Jenna, Laura, Julie, and I] went to buy the groceries we needed and to drop off our Sanctus Real pics. Then we went to the Record Exchange, and eventually got in touch with Jordan Scott. He wanted us to come pick him up at his dorm so we could meet Snazz and take him to church. So he told us to turn left on this road that apparently only goes to the right. We ended up driving around in downtown Greensboro and getting on this mystery road then behind a moped. FINALLY he gave us good directions and we got there and saw his dorm room and stuff. Then we took him to church with us and hung out with everyone. Then Last Tuesday played at church which was AWESOME!! They were SOOOO Funny! It was like a comedy act and concert in one!! There was mad food too and we all hung out and stuff. Yes it was almost 11 o'clock when I left home for Clemson that night, but it was worth it!!!!
SPRING BREAK WAS AWESOME!!
Well last weekend was pretty crazy so I will tell you about it:
Thursday:
So I woke up and got ready for my dandy 8am class, but then 20 mins before it everyone on my hall started spazzing b/c school had been cancelled for the snow! So I packed it up and left by 9 am so I could try and beat the snow home. Well this plan worked until I got near the NC border, and there was snow on the highway!! So the close I get to Charlotte the worse it gets b/c Charlotte already has like 4 inches on the ground.
So though the whole city of Charlotte and Concord we moved at a max speed of 20mph and spent a good amount of time sitting completely still. My wipers were dying cuz there were huge ice chunks building up on the windsheid and the are I could see out of was growing smaller and smaller. The defrost was to tha max so it was mad hott in that car AND I had to go to the bathroom. Finally I got out of the traffic and too a rest stop and cleaned off my windshield and eventually made it home. Yes, this 3 hr 15 min trip of mine took over SIX HOURS!! aaaahhhh!! So then Laura and I had to convince Mom that going to the Thousand Foot Krutch--FM Static concert at CafeJam was a perfectly safe idea. She amazingly actually let us go!! Rules were straight there and straight back though. So we drove over there and the roads were still clear and all at this point, but we made up our own parking space instead of parking up the hill in the diaper delivery service lot. ok...
TFK & FM Static Concert!!
So Laura and I go in and within 1.5 minutes Subtotal Jordan has spotted us and rushes over to talk to us so we are chillen w/ him and the others arrive. Jenna and I are on a mission to locate our buddy Parker from Cornerstone. They bought goldfish for the bands and signed them as gifts from our whole group... LOL the TFK ones were called "RawkFish" [haha like the song "Rawkfist"...if you don't get it then u live in a sad TFK-free life] So before the show started I won a Zeteo sticker for being the person who travelled the farthest to get to the concert! Aww it was really nice how many people braved the snow to see the bands! There were a lot there! Anyways, FM Static played first and we were right up on the second row kinda to the left for them and they were sooo good!! Muy bueno. Then we ended up standing right in the center through most of Zeteo playing, and well we didnt really like them tooo much so we were just goofing off.... THEN Jenna spotted Parker so we stalked him back to the merch table and had a happenin' convo with him where he said profound things such as "hey", "yeah", and "cool" so we left his happenin' personality and went back up front to perserve our spots for TFK. In the space when they were switching the stage set up, the CafeJam girl was talking about what bands would be playing soon and she said March 19th RadialAngel[no crowd response] with guest Need to Breathe and Jenna, Julie, Laura, and I all screamed really loud for them! She was like whoa... Need to Breathe fans in here! And so everytime she announced bands after that, we cheered like crazy for our N2B guys... see what great fans we are!
So our plan of standing there a long time worked and we were right
upfront on the second and third rows of people right in the center infront of the lead singer of TFK!! They were sooo good!! He kept leaning down into the crowd and his head was RIGHT infront of us!! We could like reach out and touch him! LOL Wow they were muy fun! So after the show, sadly Laura, Seth, and I had to book it out of there. Jenna ended up staying and meeting the guys and they loved our RawkFish! LOL She has pictures. Anyways, on the way home, I couldn't see anything out of the front window of THE TEMPO so Seth had to stick his head out the back window to watch where I was going for me part of the time! It was really scary and we slid some b/c there was like 4 inches of snow that fell while we were in that concert! And it was still coming down really hard so it was hard to see. I've decided the Tempo's secret talent is snow travel tho cuz it did a good job of not getting stuck. Well we finally dropped off Seth and made it home to our spazzing mother, but Laura didn't get in trouble for
being 8 minutes late, so it was all good!!
Friday:
Nothing of excitement happened really, Laura and I slept til about 1 pm and then we were snowed in and Laura went to work at the Coldstone. She had to close so I rode with Dad to pick her up at night and we picked up our call-in order cuz our family is insanely addicted to that ice cream. thats about it.
Saturday:
So we went shopping at Wendover and Friendly and there wasn't much eventfulness to that. Then I ate with my parents and Nick and Laura babysitted. At nine we met up with Jenna and we were gonna go see Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, but Jenna didn't end up having enought money. So we ended up driving around High Point hitting all the 24-hour joints. This meant staying at Wal-Mart til it closed at 11 to buy batteries for Jenna and then going to Harris Teeter. At the HT Laura decided it would be funny to call up Heavy D [Dustin Stradley] so she did and asked if he was coming to church then told him we were gonna get him a present. So we bought this lavender stuffed bunny for him and autographed it! LOL Next we went to the Carolina's Diner and Jenna, now with even less money, ordered one scoop of ice cream and the "slice of cheese" LOL!! The waitress had to come back and ask her about that cheese order cuz it doenst show up on the register without you puttin it ON something! Jenna ended up getting 3 free slices from the kitchen b/c they couldnt find a way to ring it up!! HAHA this was a funny trip but Laura got in trouble after it for breaking the curfew she didn't know she had! :(
Sunday:
So we went to church and before service we gave Dustin his gift... we were expecting him to be like disappointed in its retardedness but instead he was like "ooh! its soooo CUTE!! i'm gonna sleep with it!" We were amused at his excitement over this so we decided we would have to give him gifts every week that he came. After church we made Dustin sign Tha Tempo. There was a going away lunch thing for Ray Frazier so we got some groovin food and hung out there. THEN something amazing happened.... THE FAM actually all went shopping!! Sam's and Best Buy... yes exciting places. We ended up chillin at the barnhardt's to get food and watch One Tree Hill and Cody had to type a paper but didn't know how to center things!! LOL poor Codiferous. Later was youth then some foods, then I returned to Clemson. Yes this was un fin de semana muy bueno.
Well, lots has happened since the last update way back in November... Jess no longer goes to Clemson, she's hittin up GTCC now and I have a new roomie named Amanda! Here's a pic of us:
There's too much to really go over for what has happened, but I do have a few pics from Disney World and I have a great write up with pics from the concert that I went to over the weekend!!
Also, here are a couple hott pics of Tha Tempo in some recent shenanigans that went on:
Hope you enjoyed, and there's a new message board too that you should all definitely hit up!!
Friday:
Well, after sleeping until 4 pm Jess and I decided to go on a mission of the Relient K and Christmas variety... we wanted to buy
Relient K Christmas CDs but the crazy Lifeway only had ONE copy!! So a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors later Jess was the proud owner and we had
an exciting new cd to listen to! So then we went to the Anderson Mall to pre-christmas shop, but we didn't find anything so we came back. Then Ami and I decided to go to walk around and ended up at the University Union Underground and we watched this guy on the fake DDR get REALLY into "ByeByeBye" by N*Sync... it was hilarious! He was all into it...
Then we decided to go to Waffle House, and we got this guy Nathan to go too, which was funny.
Then we went to Wal-Mart at like 2 am... and I was out of gas so I was gonna get some. I put my card in and it did everything like normal, but then that stupid machine only gave me THREE CENTS WORTH OF GAS! outrageous!! It just stopped spitting it out and like printed me a receipt for $0.03 and everything! It was crazy so we gave up on that and went in Wal-Mart and investigated the contents of Hominy [made of white corn by the way, and so are grits], and played with the toys in the kids section, and lounged on the recliners there and stuff and just goofed off for like until 6 am!! It was 6:30 Saturday morning
when I got back to my room, craziness!
Saturday:
So after getting like 6 hours of sleep, I got up and idk did some stuff that really amounted to nothing... then at like 8:00 we [me, Jess, and Ami] decided to go get some Arby's, so we went and ate and told Ami the tales of "The Game" and stuff... then we went to the gas station to buy a stupid 2 liter drink for the whiny boys and there was this saggy tile in the ceiling that apparently Jess thought she was gonna fix for them, but she just broke it more and was like standing there holding up the ceiling!! The poor checkout guy had to come save her, but he seemed amused. So after surviving that we went over to Clemson House to Jason and Shane's dorm.
They had all these people in there [JaYson ["2/3"], Randall, and Nathan #2] and they were playing Darts and video games. Ami decided to leave [crazy idea!], but we all ended up hanging out and stuff, then the great fun started... the fire alarm went off and we were all like man, stupid fire drills, but one of them went out in the hall and came back in and was like, hey this is a REAL fire! So we went out and the hall was all full of smoke cuz the fire was on our floor, so we went down the stairs and outside into the freezing cold and stood there while the firetrucks came and everything.
So they announced that not only did we have to wait on the firemen to get done, but we also had to wait on the smoke to clear out, so we decided we would go to Wendy's for some food and warmth. The problem is there were 7 of us and only Jason's tiny 2-door car. So Shane was gonna drive it and Nathan#2 was gonna ride up front and the other five of us had to go in the backseat. So like the 3 guys got in and me and Jess had to sit on top with our legs crossed over, but then Shane and Nathan pushed the seats back and closed the doors and LEFT US IN THERE!! It was hilarious and pure genius!! I SOOOOO woulda done that to someone if I was them!! So we were like mad trapped back there and couldn't move but Jess eventually maneuvered out and freed us all. So since they did that we left and went to Wendy's without them. Of course then we went back to Clemson House to eat our food cuz its drive-thru only after midnight, and then they decided to watch the stupid Lord of the Rings Two Towers [or Twin Towers as JaYson
tends to accidentally say] movie and I was like fallin asleep cuz its so stupid, til they all started making funny comments and then it was pretty funny just cuz of the people. So we ended up making it back to the dorm at 4:30 so we could get a good 5 hours of sleep before church this morning. It was a muy fun weekend, complete with our own near-death experience in that fire... which by the way was small and no one was hurt. And we decided that it was all Trogdor's fault anyways! Now maybe I will catch up on some of that sleep I lost! That is all.

FALL BREAK!!!
So yeah, basically the whole "Fall Break" section was just to tell about Subtotal, a much anticipated concert.
Other than that, not much super exciting stuff has happened... but we will keep ya posted!
Hey guys! Well, Nicole Ami and I went to the Chinese buffet last night, and it was mmm mm good! As usual, we bearly made it in time for ALIAS though- but we still did. Pretty much!
Our weekend was Pretty fun- we did a lot of sleeping (thats easy to do when there are NO WINDOWS (BOO!) and hung out with Jason and Shane. We also went to see Pirates of the Caribbean,
which Shane and I had never seen. I thought it was pretty good... except for this baby that was crying in the movie- that was bad. But funny! HAHAHA oh maan! anyway...
Hello to all of our Shortbread fans! I'm sure you have all been on the edge of your seats patiently
waiting for an update from us, and I can only hope that
we have appeased you! So, what have your editors been doing all this time? Wasting their lives away? (probably) BUt otherwise, we have
had a lot to do with COLLEGE and other exciting activities leading up to it...
Saurday, August 16:
After a long night of packing (for Jess, at least),
we finally loaded up my car and my mom's car and headed down to Clemson. Since I had gotten only 45 min of sleep the night before, my dad drove my car and I slept for a while.
After getting to the school, we called Nicole's family (who had come in the night before) and went to our dorm. It was bigger than we had expected, and had a sink. Nicole and I were in overflow
housing, so we expected a really nasty room, but on the contrary, it was quite nice! The only problem was that our beds wouldn't separate...
So, after moving everything in to our rooms, I had to go get a parking permit. Cody went with me to get it, and it was agreed to meet back at 2:00. After getting my pass, and putting it on my car,
Cody and I meandered around campus for the next hour or so, jsut looking at everything.
He concluded that Clemson had a nice campus.
At 2:00, the fam and parents met back at our dorm (Lever) to say our goodbyes. It was a sad time for everyone, as I'm sure you can imagine. Of course, Jenna was the first to break down in tears, and everyone else was soon to follow... it was sad, man!
New Friends!
AMI: Well,
we met Ami the day before our exciting assembly with Richard Rodriguez. She lived in the same dorm as us, and
wanted Nicole to proofread her paper. She came up, and we ended up talking for quite a long time. She is a very cool person, and
we are forever going to lunch or dinner... or 2 am runs to Waffle House (or Huddle House) with her. She is from PA, so she has come a pretty
long way to clemson. Ami is also into art and good music, so that makes her even cooler!
JASON AND SHANE: How to describe these guys?
We could start with incredibly lucky... they are freshmen but live in Clemson House with basically an apartment,
except they are paying minimum for it because its overflow! Luckies! So, how did we meet these guys? Well,
Nicole and I were cruisin' Scheletter for food, and we spotted it: an ALL AMERICAN REJECTS shirt... or what we thought was one. So
, being us, we followed this cat till we could tell if it was or not. When we saw him sitting alone, we decided to sit with him, and
we all hit it off. So we then met Jason's roomie, Shane, when we went over to their place. They are way cool and listen to good music.
Too bad they think I am insane... I was really tired the first time we went over there and tried to eat a homestarrunner coaster... but that is
a different story! Shane is an interesting character. He is obsessed with the Olsen twins, and has a "days till the Olsens turn 18" countdown on his
profile! HAHA! He also has this tendancy to get the wrong thing at Wal-Mart and we have to return it ever trip- its really funny! Jason is also a pretty
interesting character. He reminds me in every way of Tommy Patterson, for those of you who know Tommy. Jason says "quite possibly" quite possibly the most
of anyone I have ever known, and is extremely easily amused. Ok, enough of the Jason and Shane.
LAMPSHADE: Lampshade...
what is there to say? We were at Jason and Shane's, and this 5th year senior named Kurt was there. Apparently he frequents their room to play VDO games and such.
Well, I was really tired, and I had just been given the nickname "diff" and Jason was nicknamed "Tommy," so I decided that Kurt needed a nickname too.
I don't know why I thought it, but it was out before I thought, "Hmm, you can be LAMPSHADE!" It stuck. Nicole and I made him a lampshade and everything. He's a crazy cat!
LITTLE BOY BLUE: Nicole and I really don't know this guy... or even his name. He was in one of Nicole's architecture classes, though, and she spotted him wearing a blue cloverleaf "The Starting Line" shirt.
Then, she saw him again wearing a blue "New Found Glory" shirt the next time she had class with him. She said it was "Two good bands, both blue shirts!" Of course, the next class with him, he had ANOTHER blue shirt, this time with "Midtown" on it! AAAHHH!
It was too funny! Finally, we spotted him with a blue thrift store shirt, and Nicole reported that our Little Boy Blue was wearing an orange shirt at the last class meeting, and I spotted the wild Blue with a white shirt this past weekend. Still, we have decided he
has a good taste in music, but a bad taste in lifestyle. Oh well, he's the "enjoy at a distance" sort of person!
So Monday night a guys Bible study took out our Bible study and it was muy fun... they made this scavenger hunt around campus and all three groups ended up cheating MAD bad on this thing.... we looked up some of our pics on the internet and for "ticket on a car" we had a piece of paper on a cherry-picker and Jess's group crazy cheated with a picture of people ACTING like squirrels instead of a sqirrel pic, and they DROVE instead of walking and were STILL 13 mins late... so it was kinda hard to determine a winner of that.
Anyways, then we went to their leader Michael's appt and ate pizza and hung out... We played this really fun game called "Signs" that was hilarious!! Like I seriously had a headache afterwards from laughing so much... of course after getting back at midnight from that I got to go to Lee Hall to work on my architecture project until 2:30 in the morning, fun fun fun....
So Campus Crusade for Christ [ccc] had this Pig Pickin' and Square Dance thing or w/e and it was crazy fun!! We were like an hour and 15 mins late cuz we got lost like 3 times [it wasn't US navigating or driving tho]but we finally found it.
It was at this farm in this room w/ a deck over these mad nice stables w/ horses in them [Jess was a little *excited*]. So we grabbed some BBQ, which was yummy, the sauce was super-good. Then we watched as they finished the dance they were on then joined in on the next one. On that first dance they had to like force this whole group of guys up so we would all have partners, which was pretty funny. The guy taught us the moves and we practiced then they played the music and we danced while he called out the moves... ya kno like where they yell "swing your partner" "dosie doe" etc.
It was really fun and you got to meet a lot of people cuz you danced with like half of them, and our creative date guys were there so we talked to them some and stuff... overall square dancing was REALLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY fun and it is our new sport, which we are gonna HAVE to do again!! Who wants to go??
So Saturday night we played Florida State, which is like the team ranked THIRD IN THE NATION. Monica, her friend Ryan, and Mr. Overmier came down to see it with us. Jess didn't go, but those three, Ami, and I went and it was a 7:45 kickoff so it was dark and mad cold outside. And during the game there was a lunar eclipse which was really awesome!
But anywayz, the game was completely packed, like sellout, and everyone was REALLY hyped, even tho it was like 95% chance we were gonna lose cuz FL State was so good. But we didn't!! We won that game 26-10!! They didn't even score until well into the game!! Poor Monica was so upset... muahahahaahhaa... But like the last 5 mins of the game, no one was even watching anymore cuz it was so obvious we had won and all the Florida State fans snuck out early, cuz the Clemson fans were ALL still there and were crowding around the hill and lower deck, and within the last minute they had moved down and were standing on the sidelines!! At 5 seconds before the end of the game they all just rushed the field and tore down the goal posts!! The whole field was covered in people you couldn't even see it!! They ripped one down quickly but it took awhile for the other, then they paraded them around the field. We walked out and made it out right beside the group of guys carrying one of the posts so we followed them up Fort Hill Street, with like this whole crowd cheering and stuff and watched them throw it in the Reflection Pond... it was sooooooo much fun and everyone was SSSSOOOOOOO hyped cuz we completely killed Florida State and no one would have expected it!!!! It was *SUCH* a fun game with all the hype!!! ooh yay!!
Here's the field right before people started standing on the sidelines:

So Friday night before homecoming we went to Tigerama, a big show and pep rally with skits and performances. They had this one thing where they got all these guys to do makeovers and learn this cheerleader booty dance to "Shake Ya Tailfeather" and it was hilarious and reminded me a lot of the old Southwest days with Mr. Nelson's dancing skillz!!
After the show [which we attended with our Bible study girls, oh yeah and we talked to a guy behind us in line who had a Beloved hoodie!! I swear there are more fans HERE than there were back home where Beloved was actually from!] So after the show we went out to eat, but had to try like 3 places that were all closed before we made it to Zaxby's to grub! It was muy fun and after we got back me and Ami headed over to Clemson House to play some Tony Hawk with Jason and Shane...
Then that Saturday Jess decided she was going to GO HOME, so me and Ami went to the game together and it was like the best game ever!!! In the 4th quarter, we were tied like 17-17 then we scored and were ahead then Virginia scored and tied it again! So we had to go into overtime and they went first and got a field goal and were winning, then in overtime we scored a touchdown and won!! OOH yay it was exciting and as soon as it happened allllll these people rushed the field and it was craziness!! It was muy exciting....
So later that day Ami and I went shopping and to Wal-Mart then went to the movies that night. And I forgot what we did on Sunday, but yeah, it was a pretty fun weekend!
Well, I don't really know what all Jess did for Fall Break, but I know that Ami went home with her... as for me, it was pretty fun!
We went shopping as usual... Express $6 sale! And on Saturday, CODY picked ME up for once!! Haha he has his license now and is all proud of himself!! So we went to the mall for a while until he had to go to the youth thing.
Then.... me, Laura, Jenna, Julie, Jess, Ami, and BK went to see SUBTOTAL!!! They played at the Upper Room so we booked it in our hour drive to Statesville (see what dedicated fans we are!)
We luckily got there before they played even tho as usual we were late. We saw Goose and Daniel's brother from Cornerstone there! And so was WESSSSS!!! haha And then we were sitting there talking and Jordan [Subtotal lead singer] came over with his video camera and said he was looking for a good place to put it to film the show.
Jenna said "How bout in my hand?" and thus Jenna became the Subtotal camera girl!! She got to film the whole thing!! [And as a true stalker she made sure to include a butt-shot for each guy, just to make him feel special]... The concert was really fun, they were *SHAKIN THE GROUND* and we were all jumping and me and Julie actually knew some of the words!!
Then afterwards we hung out for a while there and got free stickers and Jenna got hit on my DJ Stylez and then we were gonna go eat. We ended up going to Waffle House with the band and lots of the fans that were there!! We had this whole train of cars following each other over there. Then the waitress spilled TWO DROPS of creamer on Jenna so Jenna got a FREE MEAL!! We told Wessss the tale of how Cody got upset about him and Jessie, heard some ppl pondering what would happen if you ate and AIDS infected toe, and discovered that Jordan thinks some girls are "HOTT THICK CRAP"... Then we made our long journey back to the boro and hpz....
